“I think the Check In and Chat service is a very good thing”

Louisa lives with her husband and 3 children in London. She has been supported by Volunteer Responders through the Check In and Chat activity as a result of mental health issues.

Louisa explained how she sometimes felt like crying, but didn’t feel like she could because she had to be ‘strong for my boys’. Telephone Support offered her a beacon of hope.

Louisa said: “I would like to say thank you to the volunteers for making me feel less lonely and helping me realise I'm not the only one going through what I go through.

I think the Check In and Chat service is a very good thing that will help a lot of people with mental health issues who don’t want to go out and speak to people about their problems or are on their own at home.
