I'd like support

How do I get volunteer support?

Help is available from Volunteer Responders.

If you, or someone you know, or someone you care for would like support or have any questions about the Volunteer Responders programme, we're here to help. Our Support Team is on standby to book your volunteer support and address any queries you may have. Call 0808 196 3646 between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week.

What help is available?

Our volunteer services include:

  • Check In and Chat: Volunteers are available to provide a friendly phone call and a listening ear.
  • Check In and Chat Plus: The same volunteer is available to provide regular friendly phone calls and a listening ear for up to 3 times a week for up to 6 weeks.
  • Community Response: Volunteers are available to help by collecting and delivering shopping, medication and other essential supplies including lateral flow tests, if eligible. This service is available as a one-off or for a maximum of 6 weeks.

Pick Up and Deliver and Connect support is also available but will need to be requested by a professional referrer such as your GP or other healthcare professional.

If you’re already getting support from our team of Volunteer Responders, then find out more about what happens next on our I’m getting support page.

We hope to launch new services in the near future.
