I want to volunteer
Recruitment open: we need you!
Recruitment is open for Volunteer Responders across England.
Sign up to be a Volunteer ResponderTo sign up to be a Volunteer Responder you need to complete a quick ID check and Driver Status Declaration. To do this you will need photo ID for example your driving licence or passport. You may also need to complete a DBS check depending on your chosen volunteering activity.
Adding an activity with the highest level of check – the Green level (Enhanced DBS with Adult Barred) – will mean you won't need to do any further checks for all current and future volunteer activities. Find out more about levels of checks.
Volunteer Responders is an app-based volunteer programme. You can turn yourself on and off duty depending on your availability which means that you can easily fit volunteering around your day.
We ask everyone to accept one volunteering task within the first month (if tasks are available in your area). Getting up and running quickly as a Volunteer Responder is the best way to feel part of the programme and start enjoying the rewards of our unique volunteering experience.
Step forward and join our team today!
We need more volunteers to support people in their local community with activities including friendly phone calls, shopping and prescription delivery.
After you’ve registered and checks are complete you’ll be sent a log in to the GoodSAM app.
To volunteer you’ll need:
- To be over 18
- Have a smartphone to take part as you will be unable to receive task requests without the app.
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions before signing up.
