Telephone Support Volunteers provide friendly phone calls to improve wellbeing and reduce loneliness and isolation.

As part of this role family you can support in the following activities. 

  • Check In and Chat
  • Companion Calls

More volunteer activities will be added as the programme evolves to meet the needs of the NHS and local communities.

You will need an Enhanced DBS check to carry out Companions Calls and no DBS check to carry out Check In and Chat  - see levels of checks for more information.
