Supporting virtual wards
Virtual wards allow people to get the care they need at home safely and conveniently, rather than being in hospital.
The NHS is increasingly introducing virtual wards to support people where they live, including care homes.
When supporting a virtual ward, you will be asked to deliver medical equipment to people at their home, such as a remote monitor or a medical device. The equipment will be portable and can be handed over at the doorstep. This activity does not require you to enter a person’s home.
