NHS and Care Volunteer Responders - ready to support
NHS and Care Volunteer Responders is a flexible volunteering programme supporting the NHS and healthcare teams across England.
We have made some changes to the programme to make it easier for people to manage their volunteering and for healthcare professionals to request volunteer support.
For healthcare professionals
Healthcare teams can refer people for a variety of different services including friendly telephone calls, support with the delivery of medication & supplies and support with essential shopping, lateral flow tests and prescription delivery.
For people who need support
Members of the public can request support from volunteers, either for themselves or someone they know (with that person’s permission).
For volunteer opportunities
NHS and Care Volunteer Responders is a volunteering programme supporting NHS England delivered by Royal Voluntary Service and GoodSAM.
