Entries

  • To be entered into the prize draw, entrants must have completed three or more Telephone Support calls between Friday 6th September and Sunday 6th October. This can be for Check In and Chat or Companionship Calls tasks. All volunteers who complete three or more calls will automatically be entered into the draw.
  • The prize winner will be selected by a random draw from all eligible volunteers.
  • To complete a telephone call entrants must accept and complete a task through the GoodSAM app. We cannot count any calls made outside of the app.
  • The prize draw will run until Sunday 7th October 2024. Any entries after this time will not be considered.
  • The prize draw is only for NHS Care Volunteer Responders who are residents of the UK aged 18 and over. Failure to comply with any part of this clause will disqualify the respective entry from the prize draw.

The winners

  • There will be one winner selected by an independent party at random.
  • The winner will be selected and notified within 48 hours following the closing date and the winner will have until 23:59pm on 10 October 2024 to respond from initial contact in order to claim the prize.
  • The winner will be contacted by email. The email will only be sent from an email address ending in @royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk
  • If direct contact cannot be made with the winner or they are not available to accept the prize for any reason, which is beyond our reasonable control, then we reserve the right to offer the prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules. It is the responsibility of the winner to notify us of any change in contact information.
  • We may refuse or disqualify any entry if the entrant or anyone authorised by the entrant to deal with the entry acts in a way towards us or other entrants which we reasonably consider to be inappropriate, unlawful or offensive. If the winning entry is disqualified, we reserve the right to award the prize to another entrant.

The prize

  • The winner will be sent a giftbox via post once they confirm acceptance.
  • We are not responsible for any prizes that are lost, delayed, or damaged in the postal process. Once the prize has been dispatched, the responsibility for its delivery lies with the postal service. We will not be liable for any failure by the postal service to deliver the prize, and no replacements or alternatives will be provided in the event of non-receipt of the prize.
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at any time. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash.

Personal data

  • We will use the winner’s personal information only for the purposes of this prize draw. The winner’s personal details will not be kept on file by us and will not be passed on to any outside third parties. They will only be used for delivery of the prize.

Cancellation

  • We reserve the right to suspend, cancel or modify this prize draw at any time, and for any reason, without notice.
