Religion or belief
Religion or belief is one of the 9 protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. The Equality Act makes it unlawful to discriminate against someone because of religion or belief, or because of a lack a religion or belief. Religion refers to any religion for example Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Judaism etc, including a lack of religion. Belief refers to any religious or philosophical belief and includes a lack of belief.
