If you are not part of the programme and would like to volunteer, you can sign up using the button below.

Step 1: Download the GoodSAM App

You can find the ‘GoodSAM Responder’ app on your smartphone via the App Store or Google Play.

Step 2: Report on duty

To be notified of available tasks, go to the ‘Me’ tab on the GoodSAM app and switch on ‘Report on duty’. You can put yourself ‘off-duty’ when you are unavailable, and you will not receive alerts. Most tasks are not for immediate support, so please stay on duty if you can.

To find out more about a task, click accept to read more. If it is not of interest or if you are not available at the time slot, you can pass it to another volunteer. Click the ‘actions’ tab and select ‘pass to another volunteer’.    

Step 3: Review your activities on the GoodSAM website

Once you have downloaded the app and put yourself on duty, the next step is to check your volunteering activities. 

Please log in to the GoodSAM website today to check your volunteering activities. Check In and Chat and Pick Up and Deliver will be selected as standard.

Step 4: Read the Getting You Started Guides

Please read the Getting You Started Guides before you complete any activities and ensure you understand the guidance. These guides include information about how the app works, payment options for shopping, safeguarding and claiming expenses.
