Our webinars provide short briefings on the programme, what volunteer support is available and how to make a referral.

Webinar: Volunteer support to ease pressures on NHS Trusts

Join us to learn how the NHS and Care Volunteer Responders 'Pick Up and Deliver' service can support your Trust. Already active in 20 NHS Trusts, outcomes include improved discharges by 8%, with patients leaving 3 hours earlier in the day, on average.

Volunteers deliver medications and equipment to people at home and collect and return equipment to reduce waste.

This service is free to use, and can benefit multiple departments, including Virtual Wards and Discharge Lounges.

Webinar: Check In and Chat calls to support fewer GP visits

Join our webinar to learn more about how NHS and Care Volunteer Responders can provide additional support for your patients through the Check In and Chat service.

This free service provides friendly phone calls from volunteers, offering a friendly voice and a listening ear to those who may feel isolated or in need of a little extra connection.

Research shows these calls make a meaningful difference, with 42% of people in receipt of Telephone Support reporting fewer GP visits thanks to the calls received from Volunteer Responders

By connecting patients with this service, you can help reduce unnecessary appointments and ease pressure on your team.

In December alone, volunteers reached out with over 5,200 telephone calls giving support to those who need it.
